Day 3….

Well as I had Mentioned, I am awaiting my new BT Business account to be activated so that I can allocate the spare pc’s lying around a Linux server and static IP address….. makes things easier when publishing a live web server on the internet. I aim to run a Linux server that will host a blog, wiki, forum, mail server, ftp server and a few other fancy things I have come across. Of course of the how I did it and am doing it will be posted here under “My New Project” category. I have also added a “Install Fesity” category that will allow you all to play catchup if you haven’t already had a go with Ubuntu Linux. There you will find a step by step “HOWTO” on getting Ubuntu Linux onto you machine, one way or another. So head on over there if you haven’t already. And keep an eye out on the “Day” posts for “My New Project” on up to date news on getting this going live…. for the next few days I will be updating the “Install Feisty” areas and adding a “Install Feisty Server” soon, in giving you an idea on how I will be creating my server. For this I will be using a Virtual Machine at work so I can take some great screen-shots for you and post them on the blog.
